Big Easy IGT Tour announces 2021 schedule
16 December 2020 – The Big Easy IGT Tour today announced its 2021 schedule. Professional and amateur golfers can look forward to forty-seven (47) weeks of action, including the Big Easy Road To Play offs with total prize money of R425,000 for the 3 play offs.
The Big Easy IGT Tour has an extended schedule due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The season runs from August 2020 to March 2022. “We are excited to offer our players some wonderful incentives,” said Big Easy IGT Tour Commissioner Cois du Plooy.
Despite the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and nationwide lockdown, we will host a strong run of tournaments next year thanks to the incredible loyalty of our partners.
The incentives on Big Easy IGT Tour could result in life-changing opportunities for our players. These incentives will add up to huge rewards for the Big Easy IGT Tour players and will undoubtedly make for another highly competitive season of inspiring feats, rousing shot-making and contests to savour.”
The Big Easy IGT Tour offers 18 Sunshine Tour cards for the 2022 season on the Sunshine Tour.
The Big Easy Road to Sunshine Tour Top 6 on Order of Merit earns Sunshine Tour Card and the Transformation Big Easy Road to Sunshine Tour Top 6 on Order of Merit earns Sunshine Tour Card.
The IGT Chase to Sunshine Tour Top 3 on Order of Merit earns Sunshine Tour Card and the Transformation IGT Chase to Sunshine Tour Top 3 on Order of Merit earns Sunshine Tour Card.
The Big Easy Road to events until end March 2021 will have exceptional play reward possibilities, by The Sunshine Tour.
The Big Easy Road to Order of Merit players in positions 7 – 30 promotions to Sunshine Tour Q-School final stage 2022.
The IGT Race to Q-School Top 15 promotion to Sunshine Tour Q-School final stage 2022.
The 11th year of the South African #1 development tour circuit, launches with the IGT Chase To #15 at Centurion Country Club from 11-13 January 2021.
The Big Easy IGT tour will have 27 IGT Chase To events, 14 Big Easy Road To events and 3 play offs for 2021. The season will conclude in March 2022 after 7 IGT Race to Q-School events.

“The Big Easy IGT Tour has also proven highly successful in building future champions, with wins on the Sunshine Tour Danie van Tonder, Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Ruan Korb, JC Ritchie, Martin Rohwer, Garrick Higgo, Ruan Conradie, Thriston Lawrence, Rourke van der Spuy, Michael Palmer, Andre De Decker, Zander Lombard, Benjamin Follett-Smith, Jaco Prinsloo, MJ Viljoen, Tyrone Ryan, Hennie du Plessis, Matias Calderon, Haydn Porteous, Jacques Kruyswijk, who are all competing on the Sunshine Tour now.”
