IGT Race to USA 2014
IGT Pro Tour is proud to announce the launch of IGT Race to USA 2014. The Race to USA is now bigger than planned before and IGT now has 2 (two) Race to USA planned for 2014. This will give more players a chance to qualify for this exceptional opportunity!
IGT Race to USA Order of Merit
Each one will have an order of merit. The top players who finish on the order of merit, will go to the USA for one month. The amount of players to qualify for this will be announced close to the final as the dollar/rand exchange rate will have an effect how many players we can sent.
Each race will consist of 7 events. The best 5 events will count and the final will have double points.
- Race to USA 1 – Mid August to Mid September
- Race to USA 2 – Early November to Early December
USA Packages
Players who wish to play all or some of the events on the schedule below, can now do so as IGT has negotiated various packages with the eGolf Professional Tour. Players who wish to go and play in the USA can contact IGT direct on 078 3300 440 for more info and costing. Please note that IGT have limited spots on the eGolf Events and it will be sold on a first come basis.
Notes;
- Exemption into the Reno Tahoe Open (PGA TOUR event with $3 million purse) at the ArrowCreek event in Reno, Nevada July 1-5. The winner of the ArrowCreek event will receive the exemption.
- PGA Tour: Qualify for the Wyndham Championship (PGA TOUR event). Its in Greensboro which is roughly 90 minutes by car from Charlotte. The pre-qualifier is on Aug 7th. It costs $200. If successful (top 50 advance) the Monday Qualifier is the following Monday and costs an additional $250.
- PGA TOUR Q School: Pre qualifying runs from Aug 4-23. There are different sites, each of those weeks. Generally the top 22 out of 60 players gets thru to first stage. First stage is Sept 14- October 11th. Same as pre-qualifying in terms of who gets thru. Second stage is October 19th- 31st. Finals are Dec 11-16 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The other stages have sites all across the country.
- PGA Q-School entry forms have not been published yet. IGT will notify players who is interested once the forms is available.
