Playing the final leg of the race to Asia 10 players still had a change to claim the final two spots and the permutation calculations was working over time.

Things, however, changed during the last round at Mooinooi and only three players had a change of claiming the last two spots.

Coert Groenewald was the overnight leader after two rounds on 8-under par with rounds of 67 and 69 but unfortunately was 4-over par after nine holes and saw his changes slipping.

That gave Lupini the chance to take the spoils and Pieter Kruger to record a top-5 finish in the final event.

Lupini and Kruger grabbed the opportunity with both hands and Lupini shot a 5-under par 67 to win, while Kruger carded a 5-under par 67 to finish tied fourth, thereby claiming the final two spots on offer. Groenewald shot a 4-over par 76 and finished in fifth place.

Jaco Olver played superb golf in the final to finish second with rounds of 70, 70 and 69 for 7-under par. Olver’s back nine was a 5-under par 31 on his final round. Jaco Prinsloo finished in third place with rounds of 70, 71 and 69 on 6-under par.

The final four players going to Asia is Jaco Prinsloo, Roberto Lupini, Pieter Kruger and Jaco Mouton to play in 3 Pro Tournaments in Thailand from 23 June to 18 July.

IGT Tour Players have one more change for a spot on the race to Asia with the IGT Match Play from 27-30 May at Kempton Park Golf Club. The winner will claim the final spot on the Orange Crab race to Asia.
